James Soviero is a native New Yorker who lives in Brooklyn. He doesn't particularly like writing about himself, especially in the third person, but he loves the challenge of working outside his comfort zone.
He’s spent more than 15 years writing for everyone from financial leaders and tech companies to consumer brands, educators, and beloved children’s properties. Along the way, he’s developed global brand messaging, built integrated campaigns, written storybooks, created characters that became both content and products, and even lent his voice to a screaming goat toy sold at Walmart. (Honestly.)
Writing started much earlier. After winning a short story competition in fifth grade with a 30-page mini-manuscript, he promptly sent it to publishers like Scholastic, who were kind enough to let the ten-year-old down gently. He kept writing anyway.
His brain remains a wild, creative place that’s obsessed with reading, writing, media, travel, tech, science – pretty much everything related to the universe and its inhabitants.
James is a writer – the type of person who has trouble enjoying some moments because he’s wondering how he’ll write about them. He’s a creative by nature, a strategist by experience, and he believes he can write about anything and for anyone.
