Who's this guy?

James Soviero is a native New Yorker who lives in Brooklyn. He doesn't particularly like writing about himself, especially in the third person, but he loves the challenge of working outside his comfort zone.

His brain is a wild, creative place that’s obsessed with reading, writing, media, travel, tech, science – pretty much everything related to the universe and its inhabitants.

After winning a short story competition in fifth grade with a 30-page mini-manuscript, writing became his passion. He proceeded to submit said manuscript (along with others) to publishers like Scholastic, who were kind enough to let the ten-year-old down gently.

Since then he’s written books of poetry, countless short stories and innumerable blog posts while he works on the ultimate writer cliché – an unfinished novel.

He’s spent over ten years writing professionally for consumer audio manufacturers, wine makers, a deep-sea submersible company (honestly!) and beloved children’s brands. He’s written storybooks for global properties, created characters that were developed in content and as products, and even lent his voice to a screaming goat toy created for Walmart.

James is a writer – the type of person who has trouble enjoying some moments because he’s wondering how he’ll write about them. He’s a creative by nature, but a nurtured strategist. He believes he can write about anything and for anyone – and he’s right.
